Default 589 or mudlite xtr....please help

I ride 95% hard pac k with sharp rocks and 5% mud. I was considering the mudlite xtr, but I want to make sure that the tire is tough enough for me. I had a pair of Holeshot ATr and I popped the bead and rolled the tire with the terrain I ride on. I am looking for a smooth ride and very tough tire. Please help. BTW, I was gonna go 26" on ITP C series 4 rims. Will the 26" instead of 25", will this cause any belt or transmision problems. I own a 06 650i. Thanks for helping out. My buddy says go with the 589's because of the sidewall, but I heard they ride rough. The ITP website claims the new XTR is a cross of the Mudlite and the 589's, I don't know how true that is. Well thanks in advance, I know people get sick of tire questions.

Out of those choices, for your riding, go with the mudlite xtr's. I think the bighorns are pretty tough also. 589's are more for mud. 26's will be fine and a good upgrade IMO.
