My 650 V2 Cat comes from the factory with Synthetic in it, it is now back in the shop because of excessive oil burning, now it might not be the oil, but either way something is wrong, 400 miles!!! Had the timing chain streach to hell and had to have the valves reground also. Oh yea it is an 06

V2Rider, are you sure?? My dealer said that they all came that way, and his rep told him that also.

Positive, my dealer told me to wait until the second oil change to use synthetic oil, so that would lead me to believe it wasnt, plus it was too dark to be synthetic with only 100 miles on it.

Dont know then V2rider, but the area rep was at the shop the day I brought it in (of course before I was there) and he said they all came with it. But on the upside my dealer gave me a Twin Peaks 700 twin to use till mine is ready!!

I know it's not the same type of quad but I've used Klotz synthetic on my DS since the first oil change I did at like 3 or 5 hours. It's been great ever since. My dealer recommended it even though the Bomb manual says no synthetic on that clutch. I emailed Klotz & they said it would work great. My DS is an 01 (bought new in Mar 01) & I never had a problem & while I take of it, I do beat on it. I'm a fan of Klotz myself. Maybe email them & see if they can advise?
