Default Help, My New Tires Wobble Like Crazy

I haven't had much of a chance to ride my Brute with my new Mudlite XLs until recently. Well, there I was going well until I hit about 30 then the entire front started wobbling like crazy back and forth. The rims are in excellent condition, not bent and are definitely running true. I did not think one had to balance the tires as the tire shop looked like they did everything right. Anyone else had this problem. Looks like I might have to bring it back in and have some wheel weights put on. The Mudlites I bought are brand new and have 0 miles on them. My stockers never wobbled.

Thanks in advance,

Bubba

I'd suggest jacking up the front tires off of the ground, and slowly spin the tires to see if they are out of round (or improperly mounted).

If all is ok, then go for balancing.

I've never had atv tires balanced. Mud and everything else sticks to the wheels and throws it off anyhow. I have had a few sets of tires and wheels and never had anything but a little head shake at 50+ mph. There must be something wrong.

You might need to adjust the toe.

Do you have sealer in the tires? If not done right that can make them out of balance.

Some dealers put it in before you buy it.

i don't know if the Mudlite tires have the little yellow dot or circle on them, but the bighorns do. this yellow mark is supposed to be mounted by the valve stem so the weight of the valve stem helps balance the tire. my tire shop did not do this, and i have a little wobble at road speeds. not a big deal to me, tho because i dont go fast. usually 40 or 45 is the most i can get to without looking for some better trails or logging road.
