i just bought an orange '04 kfx400 for 2300.00 - it belonged to a friend of mine who put roughly 10 hours on it. he moved out of town and needed money, and less baggage for the move. its my first quad, i've had dirtbikes in the past- i'm addicted already. i've never been much of a fan of kawasaki or suzuki but for the money i couldnt pass it up. its bone stock and in need of some mods but that'll come as i get more money.... what do you guys suggest as a starting point? i'm thinking probably exhaust maybe???

 

dirtymac! welcome to the fourm. I suggest you post your question on the kawi, or suzuki page's. Under new topic. Then you would get all your question's answered. And your not highjacking some one eles thread. the only people that would see your question on this thread is the few that replyed to the KFX400 dead thread. Once again welcome to the fourm. i know that the z and kfx are basically the same bike but there is a nother difference in the mix and that is that the z400 has racing cams and valves that are a good deal better than the kfx stock cams and valves

Your wife will love the KFX. Very reliable and forgiving suspension, w/ exceptional seat. They are very smooth also.. To many guys by YFZ's for their wives. I thinks it's the guys ego. I see the YFZ's rattle these poor gals to death on the harsh suspension not made for going at slower pace..

First suggestion would be nerf bars, if it dosn't have them already.
