New to the forum but, been lurking for a while.
I'm sure this one has been beat to death but here goes.
I have a brand new 750 and I am looking at some Mudlites. The big question is between 26's and 27's. I have a buddy with a 06 Rincon with the 27's on it and they are too big and messin with the shifting of the trans so he will be steping down to 26's. I could get a good deal on his 27's. I dont want to loose to much of that low end grunt with too big of tires but want to throw some good mud roosters.
Has anyone ever, in the same day went from 25's to 26's then 27's to see what changes? I plan to mount his wheels up on mine to give them a try but i wish I had some 26's also.
Thanks in advance
Steve

i have 27"s on my brute, honestly they are a bit big but they really go. yes there is a noticable difference on top end but down low the brute has so much torque that it isnt a drastic change. i really like these tires but i think i may go to a 26" radial for summer and fall, save the 27"S for the snow and mud. i have pics of the 27"s on my brute in my profile thingy if ya wanna see them before you get them.

I have the Mudlite 27's on my BF 650 and it doesn't really affect the low end at all actually. Like Grizzkiller said, the top end suffers a bit, but nothing to drastic to bother me. It is worth the extra clearance I gain on my straight axle Brute. With lower speed riding, the moose module really makes the larger tires a non factor. There is a little tiny bit of lag on initial wheel spin that wasn't there with my 25's, but barely noticeable.
Now if I could just figure out why my front wheels wobble at 30 mph + on perfectly straight and true rims, I would be happy.

Sounds like your going to keep the stock rims. I have an '05 BF 750 with ITP rims and 26" Mudlites. I can easily notice a difference in the acceleration when I punch it with the ITP's and Mudlites vs. the stock rims and tires, but I think that is more the additional weight of the rims than the tires. I'll have to get a CDI module to get it back to the quick punch power of the stock setup with my ITP's and Mudlites. I wish I would have just got the Mudlites and put them on my stock rims. Thinking about just selling the ITP rims and putting them on the stockers.

I have the 27" mudlites on my 750bf and they are great. Remember 5-8 years ago when the biggest atv was a 500cc and we still put big tires on them? Anything from a 650cc and above should not have any trouble turning 27 or greater tires. I can't even tell they are there until I get on some hard pack, and then again they ride verry good. I like my mudlites, but I have considered getting the ITP mudlite XRT radials. They are very similar to the ITP 589's, but kind of a hybird between them and the regular mudlites.
