Hey guys, i'm a newbie around here but have been lurking for a couple of weeks on this forum. Just bought an 07 brute force 750i. I just ordered a winch and downloaded the manual from Warn's site.
Anyway the only problem i think I'll have is finding a live ignition wire to plug into.
I know that in the back there is a spare plug that doesn't have anything attached, but while poking around i found a similar one up front just to the rear of the cooling fan. Same 2 wires, one just shorter than the other, tie wrapped to the cross frame. Is this another free outlet? Sorry haven't had the time to run out and burn $60 on a manual yet. Is the brown wire the one to plug into?
Many thanks for the help, and please forgive the newbiness.
PS any advice on the winch install would be greatly appreciated also.

Hey there alex, Just went throught this last month myself. If my brother would answer his phone I could tell you which wire. I know we connected behind the cooling fan though and I think it was the brown but all you need to do is throw a test light on it and turn the key.
You probably already have this done by now.
all I know is we spent the best part of 5 hours installing the 2500 warn and most of the was wire running and making it look neat, unlike some I seen at the dealers.
We had to skin that bf to do it and be careful connecting to the battery. We had problems with clearance and after a few hunderd miles of smiles I see where we have some rubbing under the seat and one skin screw hole is worn through. PS go to ebay and you can get a bf 750 manual on cd acrobat format for under 10 bucks then you can print what you need and take it out to the garage and start wrenchin. Good luck

I just got my Saturday mail and low and behold I guess I bid on two of the cd manuals for the bf750 because I just got another one in the mail. DOOOH! Glad they are cheap lol. In the land of Quad a spare is always good I guess. HEY by the way, Remember you mentioned about thise two wires coming out from behind the quad which I guess are for backup lights or trailer accessories. So right next to that is two threded holes that almost look like a bracket for something, but waht is that something? Backup light or what?
