Default KEBC Fork

Where is this fork located? Is it on the clutch or inside the cover? What does it look like? I have read some post that say it will extend the belt life. Will it make you loose or gain any speed if you remove it? I m going to change my plugs and I will need to pull the clutch cover off to get to the aft plug. I figure if I have it off I could take off the fork if it will help out with anything. Any info will be great.

It is inside the belt cover right under the engine break actuator. JUst take the small circlip from the bottom of the springy looking thingy and it pops right off.

I did this mod to mine and getrmuddy5011's bike. I noticed a little more pep in mine and getrmuddy5011 said it seemed to help his quiet a bit. I've heard some say they didn't notice any improvement. But to me it sure makes it easier to ride wheelies without the thing slamming to the ground when you let off the gas.

i removed the KEBS on my 650i, and it is much smoother to operate now. you will have to be careful going downhill very slow because when you go slower than the stall of the primary, you will free-wheel. once you figure out what happens, no problem. the Kawi brakes are very capable of stopping the brute by themselves, tho.

i am happy with this mod, but it requires caution the first time or two on the trail. i havent heard of anyone going back to the KEBS after running without it.

does it help our pethetic gas mileage? i'm going on a couple rides coming up and don't want to carry cans and don't want to be embarrassed by the end of the trip.

I have no idea on gas mileage. Me and my group mostly race so I usually don't even figure it up.

well it might help i lil, but you won't ever know it. but let me tell ya about the wheelies you can ride........WOW! the break doesn't let you feather the trottle, like i like to ride a wheelie. without it you can go till you run out of gas.... far as gas milage its only going to get about 70miles give or take a few, depending on riding style, thats how they where built.
