i just bought a rebuild kit for my carb on my 2000 250 mojave but after i put it back together it started cutting out worse than it did before i fixed it, i also took the mixture screw out all the way and forgot to check how many turns to set it at. i was wodering if anyone can help me with my problem.

 

At what throttle position does it cut out at? If it's cutting out at full throttle, it's most likely the main jet. If it's cutting out in the mid range, it could be a needle adjustment. For some really good jetting tips check out this site. http://www.hmfengineering.com/forums...splay.php?f=27

 

my quad cuts out when i go half throttle i also have a k&n airfilter on it i called my local dealer and they said it might be the mixture screw but they didnt tell me how many turns i need to turn it out.

 

i think for the stock carbs the mix screw should be 2 - 2.5 turns out..........

 

the air screw stock in my clymers manual says 1 3/4 turns out. Hope this helps....
