Default Ordered new part on rear differential, (plastic plug), is there something stronger than plastic?

I had to order a plastic plug that goes on top of the rear differential on my bayou, because, ITS PLASTIC!!! Ive ruined the one on mine because its so hard to not tear up. Does anyone know where to get a metal one or something stronger than plastic?

try to find a nut that fits that plastic plug, then go to a dealer to see if a metal plug from a different model fits the nut you have! thats basically what i did to find a new diff drain plug for the front of my brute but i just ended up getting a metric hex bolt, because the original was a allan head bolt that was ready to strip out. hope that helps!

Well are you talking about the size? 17mm is what I use to open it.

no, the size you open it up with is different than what it threads into. take the plug to a hardware store, find a regular old nut(probably metric) that threads on to the plug. then that will tell you what size you need. you can probably find a new bolt that fits that nut that is made of metal instead of plastic, the only reason i say try a dealer for another drain form a different model is that regular bolts matbe too long for a differential.
