Default HELP!!

mizer, the problem isn't the gasket/seal, it's the whole set up that Kawi made. The whole air intake is pretty much open for business, if you know what I mean. I appreciate the help though.

Default HELP!!

Mine is completely stock as far as the intake/air box goes. Only add-ons are rear winch, water temp gauge and hand-held spot light mount.

The drain on air box- black rubber flat end what I call duck beak. It is supposed to be auto-open-drain. When you say it is clogged, I am assuming it did not automatically open when there was water in the air box. If it didn't open, then water could not have gotten in there from there. The water got in there from the intake opening. BTW, how did your dealer know that there is or could be engine damage? What kind of damage? In my experience, any kind of engine damge because of dirt or water getting inside was not covered by warranty. I learned my lesson many years ago...

Default HELP!!

Well, he said that there could be damage. Don't know about the extent yet. Claiming that he's trying to find a seal or gasket that failed so he can get Kawi to cover it. I talked to another guy today that I saw with an 05 Brute stock and he said that he rides his through water up to the seat and has had no problems. After telling them the probs I've been having, another guy with him said that he worked wrench for a Kawi dealer. He told me that this machine had to of been built on a Friday and that the dealer was screwing me around. He said that there was no reason for this not to be taken care of by Kawi. He told me to find another dealer. I think that I'm kust going to show up at the dealer in uniform and press the issue a little more, if you know what I mean.
