Shopping Nerfs for '06 KFX 400?
#1
Sorry for what is probably a pretty common/boring question, but I just got my quad and am looking into nerf bars and wasn't sure which should be at the top of my list?
I am not racing or anything like that, but riding aggressively and having fun and trying to be safe at places like Glamis, Ocotillo, Big Bear, etc. . .I wouldn't want to spend over $250, if possible. . .any suggestions?
Or maybe a better question, what Web sites do you shop on? I have found three that seem ok, but am always looking for sites that offer a good shopping experience, fair pricing, and cheap/free shipping.

I have the AC's on mine and love them, I'm 250 lbs and they hold me fine, also have friends that have the Alba's, they are nice also, but are dull aluminum. Definatly look for ones with the heel guards.
Also, the AC's have a aggressively cut foot peg, which grip great, the Alba's don't.

If money is not an issue get the aluminum ones, they are a lot lighter than the Tusk or DG's which are an alloy metal and I know my DG non heel guards nerfs on my TRX300 are about 4 times as heavy as my AC's that are on my KFX.
Those pro armors are nice, and they are 242 bucks at Rocky Mountain ATV, but might also need the install kit?
As far as what to look for in a nerf, I would say strength, heel guard and a decent foot peg, some of them use the stock, like the albas, and some replace.
