Was told to use hairspray to put on grips, what do everyone use? I was also told to use spray paint.

 

Yes..... a local bicycle shop told me the same thing

You can use hairspray. It works fine, it acutally worked better than the Scott Grip glue I used once.

 

as you already know my vote is for spray paint......if you use hair spray or grip glue your grips will be sliding all over the place.....just 3 quick shots of paint in each grip then put em on and leave them alone for about 15 minutes......

 

Never thought of spray paint before. Thats a good idea.

 

Put grips on first, or brake and throttle cables first, then grips? Gonna try spray paint and hope it works, thanks.

I have been using hairspray when installing new grips since early 80's and never had a problem.

 

My quad had grip's on it when i bought it new in Feburary 2006 !!!!!!!...............williebee
