Break in question.

WOT is fine for break in. It is high rpm's that will kill it. In order for the rings to seat the best, you need high cylinder pressure and wide open throttle is a good way to get it. Especially climbing hills or something where you can give it some throttle without it revving too high. Do not over rev during break in because all bearings, cam journals and other components need time to "wear in" to each other. But the way these cylinders are these days (being so smooth and all) nikasil for example, there is not much friction to match the rings to the cylinder wall. So high cylinder pressure will push the rings against the cylinder wall to make them form to each other better.

If you know how to replace spark plugs, you can do the clutch cover replacement. Just make sure you don't reuse the coolant if contaminated. It can clog up some narrow passages and overheat the motor. Yes, 03/04 aluminum cover should fit perfectly. I wonder what Suzuki was thinking when they use magnesium that reacts with the coolant.

I know im asking stupid questions. But I need to drain all the coolant, take off the clutch cover, replace gasket, bolt new one on, then refill with coolant. Is that the basic steps I need to take?
