Default Lakota topend rebuild

I will be rebuilding my topend soon. I am pretty sure that I will get all my stuff from CWR... as they are the cheapest, and the best, lol. I am gunna get the cwr 335 kit that includes piston, sleeve, gaskets. This may sound stupid, but im making sure im right... its gunna bore it out to 335? Do you think I will need to run race fuel in there? or would premium unleaded be good? And I have heard that once you bore it out, it's not very reliable. is it true? Help me out here holez... heres thier website

yes it will make it a 335 and 11:1 compression.....a 335 will be perfectly reliable and will last just as long as a stock bore would.....the bbks only come unreliable when you bore them 50ccs or more with out stroking the crank......93 is fine, there shouldnt be a need for race gas......also imo it would cost a bit more but i would get the head ported, oversized valves and a cam while your at it.....you wont have your motor appart very often and you will get way more power out of it that way....it will be worth the few extra dollars that you will have to spend.......

Im about to call cwr, but if I get the 420 lift for the cam, and a 335 bore, do I have to have new valves?

you dont have to but you should for 20 bucks a valve you are better off just replacing them so everything you have is new and fresh. With the cam you deffinatly need hd valve springs thou..............

dont forget a cam chain........aslo if you have the money get the head ported too and ditch that stock carb for a 36mm mikuni round slide.........it will cost a little xtra $$ but you will definatly see the most power that way or atleast get the head ported and get the carb later because believe me if you dont you will wish you did a few months later down the road after you get everything back togethr

zach

if the oil is burning from the piston being worn out. then the 335 kit will fix that.
putting in new valve seals will help that too. if you want the cam done i would need yours to do the work on as for im out of them now. the cylinder needs to be bored and resleeved. i charge $145 for that.

thanks
greg

He has to resleeve it?
