Default Lowering a 04 Prairie 700??

I'd like to lower my 04 Prairie 700 around 1 to 2 inches to drop the center of gravity - this machine is a bit tippy for the riding I do. By using 10 inch wheels, I can get 22 inch tires which would drop me down 1 1/2 inches from the stock tires.

Has anyone put 10 inch wheels on a Prairie 700? I had one dealer say the 10 inch wheels wouldn't clear the brakes and a mechanic that says the brakes are the same on the Praires as on the sport 700 that run on 10 inch wheels.

Thoughts everyone????

I don't know if the 10s would clear the front or not? But obvously you wouldn't have any problems on the rear. The only person that I know of who run or has run 22s is Mikeyboyesq, I hope that's spelled right. I think he does gncc racing and ran the 22s for the lower center of gravitly like you want. You may want to try and do a search and see what you come up with.
