I am looking into gettting a winch. I would like some info on where to buy one online and also what type i should look at. I should only need about a 1,500 pound one. I am looking probably for a warn but am open to other options. Best price possible. Also where to get the mounting kit for a prarie 400 thanks.

 

I own 2001Praire300 4x4, with a 2000 lb warn winch. On a previous bayou300 I had a 1500 lb super winch. I prefer the warn out of these two. Basically its stronger and much more quiet. Also the 2000 lb warn comes w/50 foot of cable(great when your in a real bind). Most of the things your looking for can be bought at the dealer, or you can get all you need from www.buykawasaki.com, you may also want to check out cabella's. You will find that there isn't to much price variation in all three places. Another winch that I hear is the best is the rule, but very pricy I bet!
A few tips for ya, get the warn, it will do what you ask of it, but never hook up the cable to another atv and back them out of a spot, this will hurt it. Always hook up and let the winch do the work and it'll give you good service.
