i have a 300 bayou and it want start in fact it has no fire to the plug when i crank it. i have tried another coil and plug and wire still nothing. the only time i see any fire at the plug is when i turn the kill switch on. and it sparks once i dont know if it's suppose to do this or not. one other thing after the ignition switch has been on for a little bit the coil gets pretty warm not sure if this is normal either. thanks for any help.

 

You take the plug out and ground it correct when you are doing this otherwide it won't spark at all...If you aren't getting any spark at all I would check the wiring at the killswitch to make sure that something isn't loose or disconnected then since you also check the coil and plug and wire I would say that you cdi box has gone bad and would need to get a new one...But it seems like a wire problem maybe a loose ground wire on the frame or the killswitch and controls.
