Default Brute force opportunity

I have an opportunity to buy an 05 Brute force 650 with only 20 hrs. on it. My concern is weather the newer models (06, 07) have new features worth paying for. Can anyone with in depth knowledge of the brute force help?

If it were i irs brute force i would say wait but its the solid axal brute which is just a prairie 650. They are very reliable so i would jump on the offer. Just remember to use low gear as much as possible. EX. mudding, climbing, pulling, etc. good luck

The two concerns I have are the solid axal vs. independent. I ride alot of rough trails (rock). Also 650 vs. 750. I would prefer to stay in high gear except for long steep hills.

The reason for using low is to help extend belt life. Both the 650 and 750 have more than ample hp and torque to pull up any grade you can ride up. You could use high but you would have to replace the belt more often than if you used low for the areas where you have a high torqe demand.

I'm a clutch man. I don't want to come to a complete stop to change gears. How difficult is it to change the belt? and what about the solid axal vs. independent. I'm going from a 375 lb. bike to a 650 lb. bike. most of the trails I ride have lots of rocks and ruts.

the sra bikes are allot more sporty. Im sure youll be fine with the sra like i am. I ride allot of very rough terrain and im fine, But its your preference. Changing belts and so on is easy. Go over to nyrocatv.com and see for yourself under the teck tips section. The brute forces are the same as the prairies.

solid rear end is nice for rippin more like a sport quad, feels like it's stuck to the trail better, however I went with the 750 and had to get bigger wider tires as it felt a little tippy for my taste
