I have a KFX 400 and am planning to replace my tires and rims - rear tires from the stock 20" to 18" diameter ones; the front of the stock 22" to 20". I hope to lower the overall height of the quad and make its stance a little wider. Has anybody done this? Comments appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

You will lower it a tad. It won't get any wider unless you use offset rims, axles, or spacers. Hope that'll help you out
