I am just wondering if anyone has had a problem with there seat chaffing on there plastic's. Kawi got me another seat under warranty for chaffing. The seat cover was starting to chaff through around the center both sides where it bends around on the edge. I would like to know if this is something more serious with the frame before my warranty runs out at the end of this month. So if you guys could look at yours and let me know that would be great. THANKS!

 

my seat rubs my plastic where the rear fenders meet the side covers. i have black lines on either side. it hasnt put a hole in the seat or rubbed through the plastic or anything. mind you i have red plastic, was yours rubbing off the camo?

 

That is the same place where mine is rubbing. Yes it has worn about a inch long 1/4 inch wide 1/8 inch deep into my plastic. It no longer has camo in that spot. It's just black.

 

i dont know what causes it, maybe the plastic pan of the seat doesnt have the right bend. becuase its a textured or rough vinyl and mud or water getting there cause it to rub bad. i might try a different seat, the 06 silver edition Brute Force came with a different material on the seat. a more rubbery mesh material. i think i'm gonna get me one of these so my butt doesnt slide aroud so much.
