Kawi 650i vs Polaris 700
Anybody offer any comments as to how these baby's match up?
Rode my buddies new Polaris 700 today and I was bebating the Kawi 750 or 650. Figuring I would probably roach myself on the 750, I am wondering how the 650i match's up vs. the Polaris. Polaris is nice, but I am a Kawi man now.
Also, for you 650 vs 750 readers ready to jump in, how much more power is the 750 and what else does it have to offer over the 650???

the 750 has 1.5 hp more than the 650i. probably not as much as the difference between new 750s. i rode one day with a 700 polaris and was kind of impressed. i would not trade my 650i for one. mine is more powerful than the polaris, but as far as practical difference on the trail, it kept up and held it's own.
the 650i vs 750 is a coin toss except for the 1.5 hp. i like my 650i. it's a rock stomping SOB.

Thanks.
So you have the 650i, how is the ride? I havent had a lot of experience on an indi' rear, do they all feel as light as the Polaris did today? I have to ride the 650i. I am hoping it isnt as soft or bouncie...felt like I was flying on a pillow, I felt really disconnected from the trail...LOL

My biggest complaint with any of the BF's- 650i & 750 is the suspension.
Just too stiff for a IRS set-up.
Yes it does handle better But if the Shocks had better factory dampering to begin with, then the suspension Could be a bit softer.
I've tried setting the shocks down to their lowest setting but that really didn't help much.
As I learned on my '05 BF750, to fix this problem is to invest in a full set of WORKS Shocks. At 1st I just went w/the Basic set-up at $800, then later I added the 2 other upgrades which added another $425, so for the $1225, I have in these WORKS Shocks, I now have a excellent riding/handling/and a feel of connection to the trail while riding, no matter what speed I care to run at. This WORKS set-up makes all of the difference. The WORKS take the beating, not you the rider. You can push the BF as hard as your riding skills allow you to and the WORKS BFs will take it.
The Polaris 700 frt shocks are too soft, so if you ride fast & hard, you should do a upgrade on them as well but much cheaper than the WORKS set-up for the Brutes.
At least for me, I just took the WORKS off of the '05BF & installed them on the '07, no sense in giving away such an excellent WORKS set-up on a used 4sale BF750.
If you can get a great low price on the 650i, then give WORKS a call, you will not be disappointed in the results with the Aftermarket Suspension.

Really leaning into the 650i. Seems like an industry wide best buy for the coin. Priced just above mosts 500's and the power of the 700's...
i like the looks with the Black and new graphics.
Friend of mine buying a King Quad this weekend, other buddy has the 700 Polaris, the Old 360 just ain't gonna cut it with the smack talk...
I mean I can get her to go over and up anything, but the flat-out fly bye's are whats gonna push the 360 right into the Mrs. Hands, while I upgrade...
