Default Rotella T Synthetic

I have the 05 Kawi BF 750i. The owners manual says to use 10W-40 oil that is API SF or SG Or API SH or SJ with JASO MA. Rotella T is rated for API CI-4 PLUS, CI-4, CH-4, CG-4, CF-4, CF/SJ, SL. I have read in other forums that this is good stuff and rated for this bike. I don't see the JASO MA part listed on the Rotella T, so I am wondering if is rated correctly or not. It does say SJ, but not SJ with JASO MA. Anybody know if this stuff is ok to use or not??

I thought the JASO MA rating was only for wet clutches. The Brute has a CVT belt, not a wet clutch.

The best bet would be just plain old "SF/SG" rating (an no other ratings on the bottle) for your quad. However, if the oil bottle shows multi ratings, including SH, SJ or SL, it should have MA specification (forget JASO) for your quad. The MA is designed specifically for motorcycles and ATV engines whether it's got wet clutch or not. This is important when quad is new so that piston rings can seat properly. And, of course, it's even more important if your bike has wet clutch - slipping. If there is no such MA or MB specification, just plain SH, SJ or SL, then you can assume that the oil is for MB (mainly for automobiles). If your quad has over 50 hours, I wouldn't care.
