I had an awful snapping noise in my torque convertor. It was intermittent so I went home slowly. Took off the cover to find one of the bolts that holds the pc. of plastic that the cover bolts to had come loose and there were chew marks on my pulleys. I found the bolt in one of the breather tubes. I never found the washer. I took off belt and filed knicks on areas the belt would ride. I put some blue loctite on both bolts. Then I put duct tape over screws. Has any one had this problem? My atv is 2000 300 prairie with 400 miles on it. I think it is a bad setup where the screws can come loose and fall into moving parts.
