Get the SRA. I like both machines, but long term the SRA will be more durable and functional when you pull something. I don't think there is much difference in power between the two, and I have ridden both. The 650i is just a tick quicker, but the SRA has more than enough power. Not to mention the fact that it is cheaper. I have an SRA, and am probably going to buy a 650i as well. I have lots of different things I do with them, and it is nice to have both since they excel in different areas. But if I were just going to own one, give me the SRA for it's simplicity and usage flexibility.

I have a 650i and my dad has a SRA 650.

The 650i is MUCH smoother.
The 650i is a little faster.
The 650i doesn't like to do drifts/powerslides.
The 650i has a lot more ground clearance and is easier to ride on rocks.

The 650 SRA has a much harsher ride.
The 650 SRA puts the power to the ground a little faster.
The 650 SRA is a powerslide/drift monster.
The 650 SRA has scraped the rear diffirential on rocks multiple times.

I haven't had the 650i in the snow yet, but the 650 SRA did amazingly...even with the stock tires.

In conclusion, the 650 SRA is more of an fast-pace oriented quad. The 650i is better on the technical stuff.

Yes. Don't get the moose module. Spend an extra 60 bux and buy a DYNATEK CDI. It'll do everything the moose does, and a whole lot more!</end quote></div>

Were could I get one?
Online vendor?
Thanks,

Default Brute Force 650 vs Brute Force 650i

Hey, new to the Forum! Lookin' good by the way. So i have been doing research and the BF650 has officially caught my eye. I'm looking for something sporty that can also go offroad, plow snow but i also dont want to be left in the dust so this one seems to be the answer.

I'm more stuck on the SRA opposed to the IRS mainly because of the price and from what ive been reading, the SRA is the way to go with what im wanting to accomplish. The only thing i am wondering about is why is the IRS better than teh SRA when it comes to plowing snow? THis would be a key factor in making my final decision since in the end i will be gaining the money back after i do a few neighborhoods. So what makes the IRS better than SRA for plowing, any real distinguished differences i would notice?

**Whats the top speed on these quads?

Looking forward to replies

The SRA will be just fine for plowing snow. My 360 (SRA) does great when its time to push snow. Get the SRA and you will be one happy rider. Just learn the tricks of the kawi. Use low gear when going slow, climbing, pulling, pushing, mudding, etc and you wont have problems with the belt. Go to nyrocatv.com for more info in the tech tips section for the prairie. The forums sweet to.

I bought 650 SRA because it felt much better handling and was not such a pig to drive over the 650i...It feels more nimble and I think the swing arm is more reliable then IRS...Price was not a factor between the two machines because it is only $400 difference, I have that in new tires..

Top speed on the 650's are very high 60's....around 68, 69 mph with no mods and after market tires...The 750's are low 70's

The 650 SRA is the old prairie with new plastics...same frame and everything else, to me more proven over time...The SRA also has more plastics in the front wheel wells..The i models you can see right through, but SRA has plastic to stop water and everything else from splashing the motor..

damn im sold...if the Polaris Scrambler 500 accommodated a plow we wouldn't be having this conversation but the BF650 sounds like a fun mobile work horse. I'm happy, cant wait!
