Default 700 Prairie CDI Question

I have an 04 700 Prairie with a Highlifter CDI installed. I installed it a couple years ago. Are the newer CDI's better and more powerfull than the Highlifter? I didn't notice that much of a powerband increase after installing the CDI.
Do the newer ones over ride the reverse rev limiter?

Default 700 Prairie CDI Question

CDIs give power through out RPM range. Modules give better power under 5-10 MPH than OEM CDI and default to OEM retards above 5-10 MPH. You still have Reverse limiter on modules and can turn off or no reverse retards with CDI
