I have an 03 Lakota. I have done the basics like factory fit K&N filter, jetting, SuperTrap exhaust, 13T front sprocket. I love the feel of the bike but I want more performance. I am thinking of getting the 350 kit from http://www.fourstroketech.net/ and I have really wanted to see if anyone knows if it is possible to convert the auto clutch to a manual clutch. Another thing I was considering is trying to put a whole different engine on there, maybe from a dirtbike. So my question for all the bigtime modders is what is my best route and if I go with the big bore kit, what kind of performance increase will I get? Would a 36mm carb and clamp on K&N filter make a significant difference? If I do a complete engine swap, what will fit the best?

You want an opinion, I'll give it to you: A Lakota is a Sport/Utility quad. I love mine, but if I want to go fast I ride my sport quad. It wouldn't cost you much to upgrade to atleast a 400ex. my 2 cents
