Default KFX 700 dual or single

Is there much difference in the performance and sound of duals versus the single pipe? I really like the sound of the HMF pipes, and I have heard a 700 with HMF duals but not with a single. Also, I take it that I will have to remove the tool box with duals, is there another way to mount it if you put on duals?

I have heard the aliens, they are a good sounding pipe. The performance seemed to be pretty good. I like the look really well with the duals also, but I also didn't want to remove the tool box but I didn't know if there was another way to mount it with the duals on there. Is there much of a sound difference in duals or a single exhaust, also much difference in performance for the duals versus single?

the power difference in duals and two-into-ones are not that great. in stock form that is. really if your not like some of us and gonna go crazy trying to get every MPH or HP out of your bike the biggest selling point will be the sound you love most. If you are just the average rider who's gonna keep the ride mostly stock the muzzy provides the best power with a low sound but mean sound. it's a single pipe. the LTE duals will be way to much for your bike and you'll actually be losing some power they are pipes meant for a big bore motor they breath to much for a stocker. really the difference between dual and single is minute and not even noticeable. you will have to remove your tool box with duals and there is no real way to mount it again except be creative. I never used it since i bought my V and it was the first thing I took off. Myself I went with HMF duals because I thought they sounded better than the Aliens and looked the best (PC'ed green to match!) out of the other pipes. and because they were cheaper than the Yoshies.

sound difference between duals and singles is duals are obviously louder (one extra pipe) but other than that each pipe has it's own unique sound.

I really like the sound of the HMFs as well. I have never heard an HMF single on a 700 though, I had an HMF on my 400EX and really like it, I am more of an average rider, I won't be trying to get every MPH and HP out of it. I do mostly good hard trail riding. I really like the looks of the duals, but I also like being able to pack a few tools and fuses with me in the tool box as well. I went riding just this weekend and blew a fuse, if I had not had some in the toolbox, I would have been screwed... it was a long way out, and I was with a bunch of other sport bikes, nothing that could do much pulling.

Do you know much about the Two Brothers exhaust? I found a good deal on a new single with header pipe, but I have never heard them or anything?

If your on a budget and/or getting max performance dosen't consern you then the HMF is a good pipe as are most pipes around. I personally like the HMF better than the DMC, to me it sounds deeper and not as raspy. If you want every hp then the Muzzy Pro pipe is the way to go. Ask Mickey Dunlap or Ray Fundy and they'll both tell you the same thing, as of right now no other pipe on the market can compete with the Muzzy Pro. Both of those guys make their living by building these motors and trying to get the best out of them so if you listen to anyone listen to them.

I really like the sound of the HMF as well. Do you know anywhere that has a sound clip of a Muzzy exhaust on a 700?

Do a search for Muzzy and I'm sure you can find a video or two and see them in action.
