2004 KFX 400 reverse switch

2004 KFX 400 reverse switch
I have a 2004 KFX 400 problem with the reverse switch. I turn the switch (360 degrees or more) and it will not engage the reverse. Is it just a matter of adjusting the cable etc.

It might be just a adjustment, but it sounds like to me that mybe the cable has come detached from the switch?? or mybe has broken???
