Default engine brake

I know the engine brake cycles when the ignition is turned off, but on my 04 prarie it has started to cycle for a very long time after shutdown. From what I have read on this forum it sounds like it may have something to do with my 4wd/2wd lights flashing. Am I correct in assuming this? Any ideas on a repair?

well, thats what mine did. Eventually it just went out. I decided that it was dumb to spend 200 to get a new one so i just put a peice of electical tape over the light, and took the actuator fork out so that the actuator isnt connected to the belt anymore and was done with it. Like it allot better now and still have all the engine braking just have to tap the throttle every little bit. Its a popular mod to do. So simple.

If you remove the fork for the engine brake, you should remove the bearing that's on the clutch face, a few guys had them fall out and cause some damage.
