Default bf650 is hot

i just purchased a 05 650 brute force and rode for the first time this weekend it seems like a great bike well it will be once i get my itp's from the ups man thursday but anyhow i had problems with the thing running hot alot this weekend i was wondering if anyone has had this problem before i even had to add water to it twice any info would be greatly appreciated

make sure the rad is SPOTLESS! also i added some WATERWETTER to my coolant.. have had no probs since..

Be sure to check for mud and weed's in the front and back side between fan and radiator for blockage , not just inside the radiator ; sometime's the outside is overlooked if the insise is clean and clear ! And be sure the fan is working , you can check the thermostat by removing it ; and putting it in a pan of water then with a thermoitor heat the water up untill the thermostat open's ! I don't know the temperture spec. is for when the thermostat should open , but you can get this info from from your dealer's thec. ! williebee
