Default Wiseco Pistons On BF 750

Alright I was wondering if any one is running wiseco pistons 11.5:1 compression in there BF 750 standard bore 85mm with stage 1 hot cams? If so I much difference did it make and do you have to do anything to the cylinders some say no and some say you have to deglaze the cylinder? What is deglazing? I have done everything else like snorkel,K&n filter,Pipe, jet kit, Dyna CDI, clutch mods and I was wondering if the pistons and cams are worth the time and money to do.

Rowdy 5050,
Pistons and cams should get you around 10hp if you can get everything dialed in correctly, don't forget to throw a new ignition in there for good measure though. Deglazing, or honing the cylinder is just what it sounds, taking the shine off the cylinder walls so the new rings will seat properly, it is a relatively cheap thing to get done if you don't have a cylinder hone.

if the motor is not smoking or was not swamped it is ok to put new pistons and rings in there. im running the 785 kit with 11.5 compression with stock cams and it gained 15 pluse hp.im building a customers bike now with an 840 kit with 12.1 and stage 3 cams, head work and heavy duty valve springs.goin to make 80 or so hp at the rear tires. its well worth it. the brutes make a lot of power if u make them breathe with bigger cams

o ya no problem at all just when u put the pistons in the cylinders u put a light coat of oil on the wall of the cylinders. the 650 and the 750 motors have a nickel sill coating and when u would hoan the cylinder it would damage the coating. let me know if i can help u with anything else.go to woodlands custom atvs .com and email me from there

If your thinking of pistons and cams check into the kits from Four Stroke Tec 814-842-6139 or Fundy Power Sports 902-647-2250. Both have kits for your brute that will outperform wisecos and hotcams. They have kits from stock bore to 916. At the least go with web cams over the hotcams. The stage 1 hotcams are not much better than the stockers. I had some. A 800 kit from FST or FPS would turn your brute into a real beast.

the kit that im putting in my customers bike is a 840 kit from four stroke tech. the stage 3 cams r the way to go on the brutes. that is the biggist problem on the brutes is that the heads r so restricteive. if u r going with any bigger cams than the hot cams u need to get the pistons from fst. they have a big valve relefe on the top of the piston to keep the valve from hitting.

I know on Fundy 840s they run the 700 heads due to the flow problems you were talking about. I'm no builder but I was under the impression that the web 150i grinds were drop in cams also. I do know that if your going with high comp. pistons and cams then the hot cams aren't really worth the money. Check out the cam specs, the webs have more lift and duration than the hot cams. I did a search on an other forum just to confirm and yes you can run the Web cams with high comp. wisecos. Several people have done that combination with their 750 brutes.
