Default Oil light blinking

Two part question: My 2003 Prairie 650 has a blinking oil light and won't start. Are the two connected? There's plenty of oil in it. The engine turns over and it sounds like it want's to start but nothing happens beyond that.

Yesterday I filled it with gas and spilled some on the seat. I sprayed some water on it to wash the gas off and some of the water got up and under the seat. I had to take the seat off and let it sit in the sun for an hour or so before it would start. It ran just fine all afternoon. This morning though, I can't get it to fire. Any suggestions?

Default Oil light blinking

A friend of mine had a similar problem, where all it would do is crank and the oil light was blinking that is standard. Any way if I am not mistaken he removed the battery and reset the system on the atv and then it fired like normal. Now the only thing is that he was running 1999
