Trouble installing supertrapp IDS2
#1
I have a 2001 lakota sport which had a crappy dg exhaust on it when I purchased it used. I did not get the original exhaust or hardware from the stock setup. I purchased a supertrapp IDS2 and am having trouble installing the headpipe. I am led to believe it requires the use of some parts off the stock exaust because it doesnt fit correctly. I cannot get the mounting bracket onto the headpipe from either side as shown-

Also, when I place the headpipe in the the engine, it slips in a good 1-2"

This is all of the hardware it came with-

Even if I did get the bracket onto the headpipe, With the pipe entering the engine that far, it wouldnt hold it there anyway. Am I missing a required piece to make it fit? I'm really bumming, I was planning to take this thing for a spin tonight.
Any help is appreciated.

I tested a 2000 Lakota for this mag in 2001 and wrote a 5 part hop up series. In part 4 I installed an IDS SuperTrapp. You definitely need the factory headpipe clamp.
