Default ATV for wife?

I've been riding an '06 trx 450r for about a year, but i previously had an '05 kingquad. i'm planning on going back to a 4x4 in a couple of months. I'm considering every big-bore (except honda) on the market. We double ride a lot so i want something smooth riding, but at the same time i want power when i am alone. I know someone will suggest it so i'm just going to go ahead and say i won't buy a two-up. My wife likes the brute force, but that is based off of looks alone. She says it looks tough. I like the look of the new brute, and the fact that it has efi. That was the main reason i didn't buy it when i bought the king back in '05. I had 4 or 5 buddies that had brutes in '05, and they all had problems. Are the '06's and 07's better? Another thing is that i just moved to tn from tx, and i don't really know alot about riding in the mountains. I think gc and stability would be key up here. I have ridden the brute, grizzly, king, outlander, but not the polaris or arctic cat. She says she wants something that she doesn't have to ride behind me on, and can drive if she wants to. My wife is small and i think the brute might be too much.

If you want to stick to Kawi, basically you've got two choices as for 4x4.
'08 EFI 750BF or carbed 360 single but with same basic features (EBC, wet brake, etc.).

To be selfish you need to get what you want. Seeing that you will be the main driver, you need to get whatever your comfortable with. I would get the brute. I just sold a 660 griz and I like the brute a whole lot better. If she is going to be on the back with you, you can't beat the size of the seat on the brut. It's huge. When she drives it she can put it low,if she not going to fast, until she's use to it. ALot of my friends have the brute and we have not had any problems yet with ours. I have only heard one good thing about the 700 grizz. The rest are broken a arms and stuff tearing up. The brute has yet to be shown up by anyone. Amazing power and ride. The only down side is no storage. Get a winch and alot of bunjie cords and ratchet straps.

The new 08 brute force is supposed to a smoother ride and handle better along with other updates. But ya, all the bugs were worked out of the brute in 07
