Default Price Paid vs Quality

Just a little vent fellas probably wish you wouldnt have read this lol. Ever have those days when it seems like the world is out to get you out of the other 7 billion some odd people? I'm kind of peeved at the way manafacturers are doing now, including Honda and all of them when it comes to overall build strength. I attribute a good bit of my frustration to all the whine bags who gripe and moan about 4x4s being heavy and built with heavy materials and omg its 650lbs instead of 600 to what happend to me yesterday. Brute handles deep water very well so long as you dont splash into it, yes i know, i know use some good old di-electric grease on on electric wires. Well to hell with that, I shouldnt freakin have to, 7-8 thousand dollar machines that the companies know are going to be used in all kinds of conditions should come prepped for them. I come around a small corner at some nearby river trails with my lady only going about 10-12mph, hit a medium sized stick laying in the edge of the trail and just happen to hit it just right for the right rear tire to ram it straight through the floorboard completely breaking the entire footpeg loose and making a 3 inch hole in the floorboard. I was PISSED. Kawasaki has one little meager **** ant metal tube going diagonal across the floorboard. FLOORBOARDS GET NAILD ALL THE TIME, they should come with atleastttt a thin aluminum guard completely covering the bottom of the floorboard. But wait, that would add 4lbs to the machines weight, crap cannot do that. I just think that for the amount of money paid for these machines they should be made alot tougher, i mean common i was barely going over 10mph and had a stick ram through my floorboard hitting my girlfriends foot. Ah geez just a lil frustration is all you fellas have a good one. -joe

I understand your situation, I had a 250 quad runner and amost exactly the same way i had a stick go thru the floor board. I just bought a 700 king quad and to tell you the truth the running boards on it are pretty flimsy as well. I might put a piece of aluminum on the underside to strengthen it up dont want the same thing happening twice lol. Hope you get things figured out
