Default Help!! 2000 Kawisaki Mojave 250

I have a 2000 Kawisaki Mojave 250 that i purchased about a month ago. Ever since i have been riding the bike it been stalling on me. If i ride and get it heated up and stop and shut it off to take a break, i wont be able to get it started again. Also when i just try to leave it idle it will stall. The only way i can get it started after this happens is compression or leave it sit for a while.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

Thanks Ron

It sounds like it could be running a bit lean and heating up a bit too much, what color is the plug and have you tried messing with the air/fuel and idle screws?

just make sure your plug isn't white. If it is your getting way to hot and need to jet up. You probably should buy a brand new plug to test this.

I changed the plug and it wasnt white is was carboned up. It's not overheating because that fan barley runs because isnt hot enough. Another person told me to check the valves. Do u think that could be the problem.

If it was my bike I would take it into a shop and have them clean out my carb real good and maybe rejet and adjust screws where neccesary. I like to play with my own stuff, but in the end I don't wanna mess anything up. You could atleast see how much this would cost....there are some great little businesses in my town that are a ton cheaper than a dealer and still do a great job. good luck and keep us updated.
