Just bought the new 2008BF750i. Its not as fast as i thought it would be. The guy at kawasaki told me it would go like 75. But my 400ex smokes the hell out of it even with a head start. The speedometer gets up to 73, maybe i just have a dud.

I believe so. I think it probaly goes somewhere in the upper 60's. The reason i say that is because i've heard top speed for 400ex are at the most around 70. I think i got played.

Well, I still envy you that you've got an EFI 750. I wish mine is. Still I would be amazed the EFI 750 can reach upper 60's which can be verified by GPS. That's a really fast sport-ute 4x4 in my standard. I think my carbed stock 2-yr old 750 can barely reach low 60's on good days.

Maybe after it is broke in will it increase in top speed. Only time will tell. On a side note, I don't understand why kawie has a lower compression ration on the 750 motors and a higher one on the 650 motors. To me, I would think you would want your top big bore to have the higher compression to make the most hp and torque. I have a 2005 bf750i with ignition module and a jet kit and it will flat out fly, but I still don't understand the lower compression.

A friend of mine has a 400ex, I have Dragged raced him many of times with my 650i. Now we dont get either bike to full speed, but the 650i will beat him by 2-3 quad lengths. If we had enough room, perhaps he would beat me with his top speed
