Default Praire Spits and Sputters in Reverse

I can not figure out this problem and I'm hoping some one can assist me.
I have a Praire and it runs great going forward. However, when I put it in reverse the motor spits and sputters. It will move, but not with as much horsepower. Forward works like the day I bought it. It has never been submerged to my knowledge.
Any suggestions?

Thank you for your time.

Hello,

On the handle bar just under your starter button is a grey button that says "override" you need to push and hold down this button to override the limiter while in reverse. Stupid safety stuff

Jooser is right, most kawasaki utilities sputter in reverse unless you hold the override button.
