Gas mileage depends on several factors, such as terrain you are riding, 2/4WD, weight/cargo, speed, how you ride, vehicle condition, etc., and 7 different people will give you 7 different figues. When you say Brute, which one are you referring to?
I tested MPG on 3 different machines got following:
650 - 16~18 mpg
700 - 15~17 mpg
750 - 13~15 mpg
Those were done in mixed 2/4WD on easy mountain trail with average speeds between 15~20 mph with no extra load. Based on my data, the BF750 can cruise about 75.6 miles in AVERAGE before running out fuel no matter what the fuel gauge says. But this is also assuming that fuel pick up tube sucks up every single drop of gas from the fuel tank - which can't happen. The best way is to use the 1/3 fuel rule as following:
1. Use first 1/3 of fuel to get to the destination.
2. Use 2nd 1/3 to return from the destination.
3. Keep the third 1/3 as for emergency or unexpected usage.
That's the technique I use when I go off-shore ocean fishing on my boat.

i wasnt to woried about how far i can go on a tank or the milage but thanks those are good things to know and if i go on a long trip i always pack enough for me and some one else ! but i was asuming all the brutes have the same indication system and wonder if any one one has seen ho far they can go after the guage says MT? because the last 3 notches will only take me 7 kms whitch isnt verry far and im sure i had enough to ride a fare distance yet and was courious just how far i could go befor i ran out? they may not have resurve but have lots left when guage says mt. and according to your miles i should be able to go 120 kms on one tank and then some because mine is only the 650!

my 07 brute 750 can go between 100-105km on a full tank before it shuts off. This is with an average riding speed of 60km/hr

I have a 650 bf and was able to go 21 miles back to camp once my gauge started blinking. Just got off the 4wheelin trails so most of the miles was easy on a graded dirt road.
