Got stranded for a little while out on the trails this weekend. Tried to go swimming with the quad and it didnt appreciate that too much. Got water into the clutch housing and couldnt go anywhere(belt slipping). Couldnt find a drain on it so had to remove a plastic vent hose from the rear of the housing and stand the quad up. Up and running after 10 min.
1. Do these quads have a drain for the clutches - looked and couldnt find one.
2. Would it be difficult to add one?
3. Should i remove the outer cover and clean the clutches
Thanks

1. No, P300 doesn't.
2. No, it wouldn't be difficult. Try to find a plastic drain bolt, 1/2" min. If not, see if you can add an O-ring to better the seal.
3. If just water got in, no need to remove the cover. If it was muddy/silt type, I would remove it and clean out the abrasive debris which might chew up the converter sheaves.
