Default New tires on original wheels

Hello, I have an 08 brute 750 and had seen that people were having trouble fitting new wheels on them. So would just putting new tires on the original wheels work o.k. and if so what would be best, I'd rather get bigger tires as long as it doesnt create some other problem like rubbing. thanks.

My bro took his 08 bf to the local tire place and had Bear Claw tires put on his w/no prob. They are the same height as stock though. It's the same place I take my 03 prarie 650 4x4. They've had some probs but manage. It's only $ 8 per tire if they don't sell the tires to you.

I have an '07 BF 650 SRA, I took off the stocks after 1100 kms for something better and put 26x12x12 mudlites on the back and 26x9x12 mudlites on the front, both on the stock wheels, no problems, and the difference was amazing, I would strongly recommend switching the stock tires off, my neighbour has bearclaws and he loves them, the tread pattern is tighter then the mudlites and don't clean as easily but for an all around trail, mud, tire I would go with the Bearclaws. I got the Mudlites because it was the best deal I could find and got them at cost because they were special ordered and the customer changed his mind, so the dealer just wanted to dump them.

Another tire you may want to look at is the 26" Bighorn. This is a tough radial & has a long tire life. Not too hot in deep mud but works great in all other types of terrain. When ITP for example, brings out the New Wheels to fit the '08 BF750 like a glove, then you can order the new wheels, I hear sometime around the 1 st of the year.

thanks for the advise, I'll probably go with the bighorns for now and then when the new wheels come out get some good mud tires. Are the bighorns good in the snow also?

I just put 26" Bighorns on my stock wheels on my 08. They look like they are going to hit the gas tank shield on the right rear, but I have it up on the jackstand yet as I have the left side axle out to repair a torn cv boot, so hopefully when it drops back down it will clear fine...
