that's what I meant, The king. "A Prarie"! did you know that in 2003 the Kawasaki Prarie 650 4x4 was the 1st quad introduced to the ATV world w/ the 1st big bore v-twin?

Its under waranty isnt it? Not much of a fan of V's unless its a V8 and that's just because it would be way too long to make it straight. Multicylinder inline engines have the advantage of higher rpm due to less reciprocating weight. 1-lungers have more on the low end torque, but can't rev out so high. A v will try to marry the 2 advantages and give you a bit of both worlds, but all of neither. Everything being equal, the brute should be faster and the king pull more weight.

My Prarie pulls more weight than I've ever seen. I out pulled moded Brutes and and moded Polaris's at the Moundsville fair last year. Not to mention the Suzuki King Quad. And get this. My Prarie was stock as it still is.

The reason I think you are out pulling Kings is that the King has factory restrictions on the ignition timing. There is an upgrade box for about $500, but you have to stand in line for about a yr to get one. Brutes won't have enough on the lowend, they're designed more for speed. I don't know about polaris. And then there are gearing differences too between all the quads. Tires are different too. I tow cars around the yard with my 220 bayou and it has 3 inch bigger tires than stock,,, so the gearing is not that low. With a 650 you should be able to pull mobile homes around, lol. Factory towing specs come from drunken monkeys throwing darts at randomly place numbers in a large room.
