how much oil goes in the bf650i?

 

before I hit up my dealer, starting to remember that maybe I never had it...

does it come with an owners manual...???

 

nope it doesn't. It didn't come with my quad. Wonder if if it's the same capacity as my '03 Prarie 650

 

dont know, found some stats on Kawi web site that told me 2.7 l if dry. So I put that in, but doing hill climb last weekend, I was bouncing pretty good and got a big puff of smoke. Wondering if I put to much in now and passed some thru something...all is good as I rode all day. Only other issue I had was over heating, but that lil' radiator gets cruddy fast...

 

I usually pressure wash mine. By the way, Doesn't it have an oil dipstick that lets your read how much is in there?

 

actually it does...
but it would be easier to know how much to put in the 1st time.

by the way, I'd be careful pressure washing, saw a friend hammers his radiator doing that....straight water from the hose seems to work best...

 

I use my pressure washer, turn it down real low, w/ fine stream or fan spray.

 

yeah, mine doesnt have that adjustment, think I need to upgrade ~~
