valves

It can be a pain if you don't have the tools or any idea what you're doing. I can think of at least 3 special tools you need to either buy or make. One is a valve spring compressor that will work for atv's and not just cars (a big c-clamp and a piece or folded metal will work too). Next is some contraption to pull the rocker shafts out of the head. Usually a piece of metal and the cam bolt will work as a puller to pull them out. Next is a valve lapper and some valve grinding compound. You'll need a gasket kit or at least the head gasket. And new valve seals.
If you have the right tools and know what you are doing, its not that bad of a job. Otherwise, get a big window of time and some good music and a good drink and take your time.
