We ahve put all the air intakes up under the handle bars cause i love to get into deep water and mud crossings.

I hope they are better than the 300 4x4 Prairie. Mine is a pain in my ___! You can fill in the blank. A bent intake valve a squealing belt a ruptured front brake line and a rear seal failure all in the same year is bad. I bought this one on the strength of the Bayou line-up. I've never had any problems out of my '95 Bayou, and I've dogged it to death. Never done anything but change the brakes and oil on it.

If your father bought it for you, you should be overjoyed in having an atv. No matter what it is. There's plenty of adults riding around on alot smaller atv's because they have to pay for them themselves- and there having a good time doing it.
As far as your question- go riding and don't look to these forums for any support in kawasaki ownership (there very biased towards honda and polaris). Your atv will do all you need it to do and last along time as long as you don't tear it up.
Enjoy the free-bees while they last!!!

Well said, DaveC!

Guess it's a "generational" thing; I wouldn't understand.

If, in my youth, a generous and supportive parent had bestowed upon me a lavish gift like an ATV; ANY ATV; I would have been OVERJOYED! Not critical, but thankful.

I'll spare you the Depression and World War II deprivation and the walking five miles each way through the snow barefooted to school stories; however: If one believes there are such things as "underprivileged" youth in the world, "overprivileged" youth may also exist.

Here we have a Prairie 400 4X4; "ATV Of The Year" upon its introduction, a gift, and we're asked to critique it by its owner.

As mentioned; I wouldn't understand.
