Bigger tires and snorkel sound very tempting on quads but they do have side effects that may hurt your quad in a long term.
Bigger tires - excessive wear and tear on drivetrain & CVT including the belt.
Snorkel - you would be in deeper water than w/o snorkel and all elec connectors and unsealed bearings such as ones on swing arm will bite the dust much sooner.
Just my 2 cents.

I thought about a snorkel kit too. My thought is to make plenty of trips to "LOWES" in the plumbing dept. because I've seen kits on the i-net upwards of $200-$300. Just piece a kit together and remember that you'll need an extra large opening 2-3 pipes at the opening. Or say, for every inch in length, you'll need an additional inch or inch and a half of opening at the end. The ones I've seen on the i-net have 3-4 2" pvc leading to the breather. But like Hayashi said, you'll need to seal everything up, which is alot of work. As for tires, I've got 12 inch wide tires (w/ stock height) on my quad w/stock wheels. I didn't put taller tires and/or bigger wheels on mine because I didn't want to lose top end and I don't plan on racing the quad in an 1/8 or 1/4 mile. All I did was go from 10" wide tires in the rear to 12" wide and kept the front stock because of the steering. Wider tires in front means more muscle to turn them. Plus I added 2.5" wheel spacers all around which gives my quad a wider foot print, hence; making the quad a little lighter on ground pressure and more stable on eneven terrain, hillsides etc. With the tires, just think of a drag car. Taller tires gives you a faster takeoff but lowers top speed VS. smaller tires gives you more top speed but lowers takeoff.

They were supposed to be a custom-fit job. But
I had to drill-out 2 holes on the front wheels and all 4 on the rear wheels. It was well worth it. Since my wheels are aluminum it about 5min. or so to drill them out. Once I got half way through each hole, I took a smoke break before I finished the hole allowing time for the wheel to cool down.

Hell, trail riding isn't have the fun. If you can't get even a little excited when you sit on your quad, There's no since even riding the damn thing Wheter it's trail riding, rock'n, mudd'n, saind'n or work'n, none of it sucks
