I can get a 2006 kfx 700 for $5000 stock
or I can get a raptor 700 fuel injection stock for $5000
I live on a farm and mostly ride in fields, trails, some mud,and snow.
Which one is the best for me? I have a 700 acre farm and have alot of room to go fast that is why i dont want a 4x4

 

Stock for stock the Rappy is faster. It depends on wether you want to shift or not. With mods the Kfx can be very fast. The Rappy has better shocks but the V has more ground clearance. Would I motocross and do tricks with the V....Absolutely not!! They are two different animals! Both good bikes, but depends on your riding preferences and style. Ride both and enjoy comparing the two. I love my Kfx700 suits my style fine!! One thing you must understand is that the V(Kfx) is a bit of a jack of all trades bike, but a master of none!! It is all personal preference! i have a kfx700 and ma bro has a 700 rappy he smokes me stock and i got a pipe air box mods, filter and jets buttttttttttttt i have the stock spring and i have been hearing that when u swap the clutxh spring they can be scary fast ima do that very soon haha!!! good luck deciding bro they both bad azzzzzzzzzzz bikes!!!!!!!

 

BOTH ARE GREAT BIKES I PERSONALY LIKE THE YAMAHA JUST BECAUSE OF THE EFI NO ADJUSTING FOR THE ALTITUDE HERE IN COLORADO AND ITS A BIKE THAT CAN BE THROWN AROUND A BIT VS THE HEAVYIER KFX. IF I WAS WAS YOU FOR THE TYPE OF RIDING YOU ARE DESCRIBING I WOULD CONSIDER A CAN AM RENEGADE,I KNOW IT IS 4X4 BUT IT WOULD FIT THAT BILL GREAT. LIKE A ONE QUAD DOES ALL.

 

i would choose the raptor 700 just because kfx is an automatic iand i prefer shifting and its more sportier than the kfx

 

if u ask me the kfx just isnt right. i dont really know why either. when u sit on it everything is one size too big. even parts that i didnt think came in different sizes are bigger and the whole machine feels clumsy and clunky (and tippy). i mean EVERYTHING is too big. even the tires - they use the 22's and 23's - VERY few machines use those. and finaly, its automatic - ITS A SPORT QUAD!!! it should be manual! get the rappy!!!

 

If you can get a NEW Raptor 700 for $5000, I would buy it. That's a STEAL. We can't get them for anything close to that around where I live.

 

well in my opinion the raptor is better. But just pick up the March 2008 Dirt Wheels and they have a comparison of these machines.

 

Yah I prefer the shifting too myself, it just doesn't really feel like a sport quad without it.
