KFX 400 probs
Alright guys, heres the dealio. I posted yesterday about a possible solenoid switch going out. I verified that it was not the solenoid switch. When I went to jump it across, still nothing. Checked the battery. According to my volt meter, it has a little over 12 volts (its an analog meter, so couldnt tell exactly). Anyway, i put the meter on the input contact of the solenoid and read same voltage (a little over twelve). I put it on the output of the solenoid and hit the start button, same voltage. I put it on the end of the wire that connects to the starter, same voltage. So my question is this, what is the appropriate voltage for a battery to turn the starter? My next step is to clean the starter contact when I get home, but wanted to check with you guys first to see if that voltage was okay. Thanks for your help.

KFX 400 probs
Alright, replaced battery, cleaned battery terminals, "in" solenoid contacts, "out" solenoid contacts, starter contacts, and ground contacts to a shiny metal. Same thing, although the "click" sounds much stronger and the lights dim now. When I try to jump it across the solenoid, it archs and same clicking sound. Can someone PLEASE just take a blind stab at it? My frustration level is growing. Thanks in advance.
P.S.
Fuse on solenoid is good. If not, no power would come on.
Thanks,
Don
