1)Hey i have a 99 Bayou 300 4x4 and i have noticed that the front shocks are very loose and that front ends sags down easy... what can i do to help prevent this?

2) Can i clear 12" wide tires in back and 10" in front without hitting the shocks or muffler? Thanks

Question # 2. Dunno. You might need wheel spacers in front (so the tires don't rub on hard steering angles), but the wider rear tires should pose no problem.

Question # 1: Replace springs/shocks. About $ 500 list for one pair, I'm afraid--get Y2k or later part number (available from parts catalog at www.buykawasaki.com) replacements; cushier spring rate and shock valving.

Dad has 95 300 4x4 bayou (all parts should interchange)

stock wheels 6.5x11 front and 8x11 rear.

Tires ITP Blackwater
front 25x9x11 just clear (no rubbing, no spacers)
rear 25x12x11 no problem

10" tires will rub up front. You'll have to replace stock lugs with longer bolts and space the wheels out about 3/8 - 1/2 inch. 12's will rub the rear shocks, but only under hard cornering and just enough to take the paint off your springs. Tree Farmer is correct- go for specs matching 2000 models for better results. Be ready for a new feel up front. Making your front end wider will add quickness and sensitivity to your machine's steering characteristics. This is not necessarily a good thing at high speed or on hard-pack surfaces.
