The 650i is faster then the SRA model...SRA is the old prairie motor, probably little reliable because been used longer, and 650i has updates to it with bigger carbs and more like the 750i before it became fuel injected in 08.
650i is faster then:
Brute 650 sra
Suzuki king 700 - i don't know about 750 yet
Yamaha Grizzly 700
Polaris 800
take your chance on Can AM 650 and the older Brute 750's (05 to 07). You will win some and lose some
You will not beat a 750 Brute Fuel Injected or Can Am 800 if everything is stock.
Where the Brute shines is 0-30 mph, after that, all machines start to even out. You need a good hole shot without spinning. If you have a rolling start race, it is a coin toss.
Top speed - well that is on your clutch and belt tension - all around 70 mph (+/- few mph)

yes...for a stock sport ute, it is probably top of the class in 0-30. That is why most Brute races are 300 ft or less. They get the jump and can hold the lead only to 300 ft. Then the other machine starts to wind them in. A few clutch mods and Dynatec CDI would help hold the lead longer.
